Bio

           My curiosity has always led me towards non-traditional
    academic settings. As an undergraduate at St. John's College
    in Annapolis, MD, I had the opportunity to read many of the
    great works of Western literature, philosophy, math and
    science. I gained a deep appreciation for the way in which
    ideas we now take for granted were often revolutionary, if not
    downright subversive, when they were first expressed. After
    college, I studied theater in London for a year and I founded
    the Virtue of Necessity theater company upon returning to the
    US. That group gave actresses a chance to play roles not
    traditionally open to them and helped them broaden their
    perspective as artists and as women. My time spent acting
    and directing has given me the ability to approach a wide
    variety of issues and points of view with increased openness
    and compassion.

            Eventually, my deepening spiritual practice led to return
    to school to do a Master's degree in Philosophy and Religion
    with a concentration in Philosophy, Cosmology, &
    Consciousness at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
    Around the time I finished my degree at CIIS, I completed a
    certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist at the highly regarded
    Hypnotherapy Training Institute in Marin County.

            I have continued to deepen and expand my practice
    since receiving that original certification by completing
    specialized courses in the use of hypnosis and meditation for
    childbirth and in regression hypnotherapy. I participate in
    ongoing classes in intuitive development and energy work. I
    am a member of the American Association of Professional
    Hypnotherapists and a Certified Spirit Coach™.

    I'm currently working with several other women to create an
    organization offering women a chance to create strong and
    inspiring personal and professional ties through networking
    groups, a speaker's series and newsletter. Email me for more
