Hypnosis, guided imagery, and mindfulness meditation are fantastic tools to help you prepare mentally, physically and spiritually for the birth of your baby. I've gathered techniques from a variety of sources to help you feel empowered during pregnancy and birth and ease the transition into parenthood. We'll cover big picture issues like connecting with your baby and releasing expectations as well as practical topics like dealing with aches and pains and smoothing the way for breastfeeding. The childbirth preparation workshop I offer meets over two Saturday mornings. It's designed to be valuable even if you've already taken a more traditional childbirth prep class. I also offer private sessions for issues relating to conception, pregnancy and birth. In this format, women are able to focus on their particular needs, to release any residual trauma or disappointment from previous birth experiences, prepare for consciously for c-sections, deal with phobias about doctors and hospitals, and heal faster physically after having a baby. I provide a safe, nurturing, and judgement-free environment for women to make sense of the information they're getting and tap into their own inner wisdom. This means decisions and situations they encounter during this period of profound transformation can be as easy, powerful and healing as possible. Big Question: How Effective is this for Relieving Pain During Labor? The honest answer to this question is that it’s different for everyone. I’ve never seen anyone who has not benefited from the use of hypnosis and guided imagery while giving birth - especially in the early stages of labor. Hypnosis can also enhance a woman’s experience even if she does not plan to have natural childbirth or if she winds up having a C-section. Moms who use these techniques are less anxious and more in tune with the process and that translates into being more comfortable physically and mentally no matter how or where you have your child. The more you practice these techniques the more effective they are. The emphasis is on keeping you feeling confident and relaxed while giving you specific strategies to cope with pain. |

| I used Hypnosis to prepare for my son's birth. My personal experience has inspired me to keep searching for even better techniques to pass on to others. |
